PHYSIOTHERAPY AT HOME
Home based Physiotherapy is consequently becoming more popular and necessary.
Promoting physical activity is key, especially in patients with long term conditions who may feel less able or less confident to be active. Inactivity can lead to further physical health problems and can also affect a persons mental health.
Peoples needs are changing and often it might be difficult for them to attend hospital appointments
The Well Balanced Centre Physiotherapist can provide assessment, treatment and advice
This can be provided to people in their own home, residential home or nursing home. Providing support at home can help prevent unnecessary hospital admissions as well as timely input to patients recently discharged from hospital.
Home based Physiotherapy can help patients regain independence and confidence resulting in an improved quality of life. The focus of the Well Balanced Centre team is to help individuals recover from, or regain maximal levels of mobility, function and independence following surgery, accident, illness or a fall.

For all appointments we can use Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) as advised by the CSP and Government Guidelines. Screening for both the therapist and the patient will also take place before each appointment and risk assessments will be carried out on an individual basis.
