Meet the Team:

Lizzi Farrell-Humphrey

Founder of the Well Balanced Centre

My name is Lizzi and I have lived in Mid Sussex with my family of 8 ( plus Bob, the dog!) for the last 12 years.  I graduated as a qualified Chartered Physiotherapist from Kings College London in 2005 and am registered with both the HCPC and CSP.

Since qualifying I have worked in both the NHS and private sectors providing inpatient and home based care for older patients.  For the last 9 years I have specialised in treating older people with a range of orthopaedic and medical conditions and have a particular interest in falls and balance in this patient group.

I have also spent many years working with patients with dementia and feel very strongly that Physiotherapy can preserve and promote activity in these patients.

Hello, my name is

Katie Dimelow and I live in Ringmer  with my husband and two daughters.

I qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2002 from the University of the West of England, Bristol. I have worked in the NHS for almost 20 years in both the acute hospital & in the community. I have a breadth of experience for example A&E, orthopaedics and elderly rehabilitation.

For the last 10 years, I have worked in a community falls and fracture prevention service. This involves assessing and treating older people who have lost strength, balance or confidence and includes those who have had a fall.

I specialise in assessing patients who have had a recent fracture or those with Osteoporosis, with an emphasis on the strong, steady and straight exercise programme.

Following the pandemic, I feel passionate about helping people regain their independence and confidence to be able to live a full life and to set goals to be empowered and encouraged to access the area they live in.

I enjoy keeping fit through running, netball and swimming and also trying to keep up with my daughters who enjoy trips to the park and seaside!
